Excellent series, David Mitchell and Hannah Maxwell Martin were very good as were the whole cast. The storyline was intriguing and made us want to watch more, very enjoyable. Can't wait for more series

I love this, If you've read the books correctly you will find it follows them very closely. All the characters so far are very similar to the books and so is the story. By the very nature of the story it is long and meandering but all of this, much like the Harry Potter books, is necessary to the plot.

Having watched Downton Abbey more than once I was quite looking forward to The Gilded age, the promise of luxury and beautiful gowns was fulfilled gloriously but the storyline, in my humble opinion is lacking. There seems to be no depth to the characters, well, as of yet, and the series is nearly finished. I've watched every episode and caught glimpses of stories only to be left empty handed in a following episode. I hope the next series is better, I can only hope.
