The four songs released before the full album were solid tracks especially Lux. Suicide is a bit drawn out at the start as is Seasons but once they get going I was hooked in. At my first full listen of the whole album I was left feeling a bit disappointed and I dare say ear fatigue. Which is how I remember how I felt about Justice album back in '88. As with the justice album this album needs a few listens spread over the week to appreciate what Metallica had done. This album for me is Metallica at their near best. Take away a few songs like (for me) Barbed , Shadows and Burn, you'll instantly have a great Metallica album. Not the standard of the first three albums but not too far off. Still for me the greatest band of all time.
