The message that I feel like I saw the TV glow brings across is so weird because like when you come out as trans it's not like you become a whole separate person like you gain completely different memories or something and it's also ridiculous to compare killing yourself and then waking up as coming out as trans like that's ridiculous honestly it just sounds like it's enforcing more negative stigma if anything. I'm trans and honestly coming out is nothing like that. Everything that I like about this movie cannot be traced back to it being a metaphor for being trans. Like the music, sfx, etc. I think for a metaphor it's pretty dumb. I still enjoyed it though.
