My partner and myself, much like many, thoroughly enjoyed this first season, we thought the tension of having deadlines and the knockout style of tournament created an epic and nail biting experience. We both learnt so much about interior design and are definitely planning on watching the following season. However we were both in complete agreement that the judging as a whole and the main judge, Michelle, were beyond poor and biased. We felt as the viewer who saw near to all aspects of the build and the viewers wishes and honest reactions, that the winner Cassie and many more of the contestants failed to conform the the brief, which ironically is consistently what Michelle evoked through here judgements. Despite her persistent and obvious hints that the client is all that matters, it seems that wasn’t the case for our winner Cassie, as she routinely went over the clients head in an effort to impress and show off, completely and utterly contradicting the explicit instructions of the judges. Which left us both in a state of anger and disappointment for Frank and many other contestants. But bar that good series would recommend! 👍
