This is a must watch for every sports fan because we get very few quality sports biopics and a great watch for movie fans in general because of the great performances by Diljit, Tapsee Pannu, Angad Bedi and imo the star of the show - Vijay Raaz in a cameo as the Indian team coach. He is just incredibly hilarious as always and a treat for the senses. Sandeep Singh's life has been a roller coaster ride. I must admit that I haven't followed Hockey passionately as I did at the turn of the century ( early 2000s when the junior stars like Jugraj Singh, Gagan Ajit, Deepak Thakur along with the veteran Dhanraj Pillai played some dazzling hockey at the world stage). Jugraj Singh's career was also cut short at a very early stage because of a road accident (was tipped to be the next Sohail Abbas at that time by sohail abbas himself) and Sandeep also suffered similar fate because of a freak accidental fire while travelling in a train. However, I must say, this film could have been much much better if there was a better director and more action scenes from the field and some more real life names were Incorporated. Anyway, do watch this! 4/5.
