I love seeing talented chefs being challenged by a brief and using their inventiveness to conjure up amazing edible concoctions.
What i don't like are the talentless judges who appear to believe they are sitting atop Mount Olympus, rarely constructive and generally annoying arses. Peyton clearly the more knowledgeable on food, although his attitude and general meanness presents you with a desire to punch him.
What is interesting is how often the chefs disagree with the judges on dishes, those highly skilled, dedicated chefs, champions of local and amazing produce knowing more about cooking than the judges? Say it ain't so?!
I'd much rather the judges were dropped and the chefs mark their peers.
It works with regional setup and marking, judges should be previous winners maybe?
It's time to drop those outdated, pompous judges.
Its 5 star for the chefs. -5 for the judges
