I saw a comment in the review section that made me angry. I think somehow the movie tried to show this concept as well. The lack of empathy with the mother! Everybody seem to always expect mothers to be flawless, to be patient and full of love all the time! To never get tired! To always know the right thing to do! People expect a mom to be a superhero! Super mom! Super human! That is so unfair. Even in the movie people tried to hurt and be hatful towards the mother. Splashing red color on her house, slaping her in the face, being mean to her at work (which she was overqualified for yet thankful about it cause nobody else would give her a job probably) cause they blamed her for her son's actions etc. Meanwhile nobody even metions the father's part! He obviously had something to do with this problem. He never listened to his wife, he accused her of being psychotic and never even tried to help her. To get her! Also the son himself was a horor. You think it's easy to be nice to such person? Maybe from the outside it is, but imagine to live with a child like that ALL THE TIME! That's hell! Kids are different. It's not all about nurture , it's about nature as well. Not every child is easy. I'm not trying to justify the actions of the mom and say she was perfect but people tend to be more judgmental rather than empathetic when it comes to mothers.
We live in a society that blames mothers for everything. Expects them to handle every feeling and never fail! Like the only parent whose responsible for rasing a child is the mother! How many of us do this in real life? Comments says a lot! Stop it now.
