okay so i usually don’t review movies but i love the series so much i think i wanna put my thoughts on here and see who agrees. okay so this movie really imo isn’t as good as the original cloverfield. it’s good as a stand alone type thing but to me this movie has a bit of plot holes. like what exactly happened with that previous girl goodman kidnapped? i got he killed her but why?? it was never really explained what his issue is and why he has such a thing for teenage girls wether it be kidnapping and pretending to have a daughter or what? like did he have a control complex? didn’t really get it. i really would have liked an explanation on him and how he (spoiler) hit her car intentionally? i mean he didn’t see her from his car right? and don’t get me started on the ending. (spoiler ahead) but HOW IN THE HECK DID SHE EVEN KILL THAT CREATURE? i guess it was combustable? who tf knows but she has great aim. the monsters were alright. not as good as clover fields aliens but they were still cool. and i’m glad to see she got a kind of good ending with the escape. other then those reasons this was a great film!! the acting, the plot, the pacing, and the beginning and the suspense was all amazing. i was drawn in the very first moment. i just had to get my issues out of the way but seriously this is a must watch!! great thriller with even a bit of phycological horror mixed in. antagonist was believable and so was the protagonist! they did a wonderful job on this movie seriously!! well done!! it lived up the the hype!
