Is this a noir TV show? Bleak, dismal scenes...why shoot in Hawaii at all?
The only color in the entire show was the bowl of fruit in the final scenes. Even the panoramic closing frame was a nighttime shot. Grim.

The writing on this show is terrific. Almost every line Alan Arkin utters in his beyond deadpan delivery is a gem. A holiday gift for Arkin fans.
