Living through the actual time frame of the movie allowed for a genuine comparison between the interpretations of the movie and reality. In my opinion, they were pretty darn close. Cheney was the driven undercurrent of hawkish policy and backroom manipulation. He had financially vested interest in the oil-rich regions where the U.S. exploited both our service women and men and the people living in those regions for the gain of the wealthy men who rule our country. Hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians were killed as our leaders touted our freedom as the reason to attack with military might. Conservatives need to own this narrative. The movie was clear on that point.

Compelling, emotional, funny, dark, human, intelligent, political, and creative. Highly recommend. Just get ready to hug your loved ones very tightly.
