Book TWs: Grief, Drug/alcohol-use, minor mention of hook-ups, mental health/trauma, characters die (but not any present ones)
Riley Sager has been my favorite author for years and this book, while a bit different from his others, is an absolute banger and I love it so much! I'd recommend it to anyone I met!
This book is about a 40-year-old man named Ethan, when he was 10 years old his best friend Billy had been missing from the tent they were sleeping in at Ethan's backyard for their weekly summer camping. However, the next morning Billy is reported missing with nobody finding him for so long that his disappearance turns into a cold case.
It's a thrilling book that constantly had me curious and sometimes a little bit sad with the things that each character had to go through, but then again I'm just an emotional wreck. ðŸ˜
I would definitely recommend this book to someone looking for a good... I would say.. mystery/psychological story?
However, I don't exactly recommend it for people who don't like stories with a lot of characters. Personally, I love the all the characters and points in the book where we get to read what they were going through and how it builds up with the main plot.
(Especially Ragesh and Johnny, I had to take multiple breaks to cry about them even though their relationship was only like.. a page long 😓 I'm just an emotional crybaby, so maybe don't expect to have the same reactions as me)
Overall: This is a great book and honestly is just another reason for me to have Riley Sager as my favorite author!
