Anyone with an ounce of knowledge of Tolkien's work and a thimble full of knowledge on good writing and character development will see through the facade of good visuals. There is no cohesive logic about how things function in this world.
Randomly repeating lines like "Sea is always right" and "no body goes off the trail" does not make them likeable. The orcs in Return of the King chanting GROND had more gravitas than this writing.
People just travel across this realm as if they have bullet trains, mortally wounded men ride horses for 6 days and night, random people survive a volcanic eruption, plot armour is the only reason why the characters of this series survive.
Blatantly mooching off the lines from LOTR series to draw in the die hard LOTR fans is the worst "F you" to the Tolkien fans.
19 years, we waited that long with patience for one day someone worthy to pick up Tolkien's work and unleash upon cinema the most epic tales of our time, too bad this filth was all a billion dollars could give us.
If this is what people of today consider to be good than it would have been better for his works to remain in shadows.
