Frances Harding

As others have said, this story is dark and a bit gruesome in parts and the sentences are sometimes very long.. I found it to be a great book to read aloud to my children. The chapters are nice and short! When we all experienced the story together, it was less frightening than reading it alone. The whole family gathered round the fire night after night to hear what happened next! (Spittleworth is an awesome villain to read aloud)
