To rate The Karate Kid anything less than 5/5 stars would be a gross injustice to the quality production of the film. Having Will Smith as one of the key producers alongside Jackie Chan just shows the mastery and the magical feel that this film brings. I’ve seen this film too many times to count, and every time that I settle down to watch it just brings me with joy and gives me the satisfaction of seeing Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan perform to their best ability and seeing the chemistry work as fellow actors. The one thing that I would’ve loved to have seen is an after-credit scene which shows the after-math of Dre winning the competition once all the hype had settled down, and to see what the consequences were for the master of the Flying Dragons King Fu team.
