A subtly flavoured film full of magic and relatability. Sonakshi is exceptional through the film, Badshah makes a strong acting debut, Varun Sharma, Priyanshu Jora, Nadira Babbar, Annu Kapoor and the ensemble cast are all very good in their small, apt parts. There is a lot of talk about the film being slow.. I felt the film takes time to establish the context and the small town Punjab world, but once we are transported into this world, the climax makes so much sense. Don’t go to the theatre expecting a comedy. Go to see a slice-of-life story that’s beautifully filmed, and is at the end of it, about a girl who will capture your heart.
