Absolutely a magnum-bakwaas. A wasted opputunity. Nonsensical story line which was not at all researched espcially when it included Hindu gods and epics. I felt insulted when Alia refers to lord Hanuman ji as circus monkey in one of the scenes. The dialouges make you cringe for their desperation to sound cool for the newest gen yuppie crowd. Costumes were pathetic as you could see alia in skimpy clothes in temple scenes which was very insensitive. Terrible editing as there was no continuity between scenes. Karan Johar should have entrusted the script writing to ‘the bollywood wives’, they would have done a better job. Sad to see such a beautiful concept not being able to be converted into a mind blowing extravaganza keeping in mind our rich culture, mythology, scriptures, and knowledge available at hand.. it just shows how desparate bollywood wants to copy Hollywood’s success but fail to do their homework. A perfect movie for upcoming script writers, dialouge writers, costume designers, directors, editors and cinematographers on how not to make a movie. Overall a very insensitive approach towards rich Hindu culture and a super callous approach towards film making.
