The Rhyme books by Deaver are superb. None of the characters in this show match up to well defined crew in the books. I really wanted to like this show very much. I waited on baited breath for the pilot. It was a significant disappointment. I gave it a second try but turned it off when the supposed technician looked into the microscope with her eyes far away from the eye cups. It would be impossible for her to see ANYTHING that way. She looked like a socialite looking at a dead rat. Sheer stupidity and zero talent. How did Deaver let them do this to us. Trust me, read the books!
