Despite being an overall sweet film, the typically charismatic Steve Carell comes as a bit unstable, desperate, untrustworthy and petulant--all in unlikeable, unfunny and cringeworthy fashion.

Some of the main characters, including the deuteragonist, didn't speak English. The voice actors they used for dubbing weren't that good. That's being kind. It was distracting at times. Detracted from an otherwise pretty good vampire flick.
