To my surprise, this was a very entertaining cute movie. The two lead characters are really great!! They don’t over act the roles and they make a far fetched plot nearly believable. I loved the zombie boy…. hanging out in airports and listening to some great music!

Overall a good movie, but hard to take. I’m glad I could stop the film and return when possible. It’s knowing this actually happened that makes it unbearable. I kinda wish the ending had told us Josh was able to resume a good life and continued caving, etc. I also wish they didn’t leave John in the cave, somehow that real ending bothers me.

Despite the hype, this is a boring movie with a bizarre and implausible plot. It starts out OK with an interesting story line about a guy whose wife goes missing… but then it truly goes off the rails. The murder scene with Doogie Houser(?) is completely ridiculous. I woulda given this one star, but Ben looks pretty good in the shower scene.

I love Russell Crowe but let’s face it, this movie would be unwatchably terrible without him. The acting of the boy and his family was so weak that the storyline became absurd, especially when the two priests went down to the dungeon and found the skeletons, etc. It wasn’t scary and it wasn’t even remotely believable. This movie reminded me of another exorcist movie starring Anthony Hopkins. I gave it a three because the first half was interesting, but it went downhill from there.

It was a fairly entertaining but predictable teenage movie about some aliens taking over earth and extinguishing the human race. There were some disconnects in the plot since it was unclear how the aliens were “taking over” humans. There’s also a strange subplot involving the lead female character and a romance with a half-alien. This movie starts out strong but then fizzles out.

It was OK, but I felt like I was watching JAWS on land…. this movie follows the same formula as pretty much every horror film ever made. The gigantic bear looked like CGI and the plot was just too predictable.

To my surprise, this is a pretty good movie. I thought the acting was very good and believable for both the humans and the animals! In fact, I have lost any potential interest in camping. There were some interesting moments leading to the gore…. Like the guy gets em lost and he’s afraid because he sees bear prints, etc. I also liked the Irish guy!

Truly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The acting is outstanding and the premise certainly leads to introspection and animated discussion. The theme of family above all else is pitted against the struggle to survive in an impossible scenario of total darkness. It almost sets the stage for a class war between the sighted and the non-sighted… where I find myself inexplicably rooting for the non-sighted! I didn’t previously realize the depth of acting talent of Jason Momoa. I’m sad this show is ending.
