Vinnie Vincent, now there's the guitarplaying magician's "guitarplaying magician". This guy Vinnie Vincent is the manifest defition of the coined phrase "think outside the box". When he played "Black Diamond" live in Dallas 1984 during the Lick It Up World Tour, he suspended the harmonic reality for 30 seconds by playing notes that don't exsist in the universe (using a traditional "pick" simultaniously with "pluck" - 3 remainging fingers interactingly picking 30 notes pr. second). Love Vinnie Vincent. The way he steps in between Gene and Paul on stage with the guitarsolo in "War Machine" and pour scorn all over the place is is like the Mona Lisa Painting rendered as a tone-poem

Love this album, love Adrian Smith, full of good songs, "Blood On The Ocean"is a masterpiece. It's much less "Heavy Metal" than Psycho Motel would become, which was Adrian Smith's next album, much less "Iron Maiden" at the time of its release, but all the better for both comparisons. Sadly, it suffered the same fate of oblivion that would also marr the wonderful brilliant masterpice "SkunkWorks". Buy it, listen to it, and love it.
