I guess I don’t know much about good movies, but this was a terrible waste of time. Self indulgent, over acted, unnecessarily gory and disgusting garbage of a film. The attempt to make it feel like some kind of ‘art-house’ piece with the black/white and narrow aspect ratio was just contrived and irritating. The hackneyed characters, the laughable dialogue, the over the top grotesqueness just left me feeling bad about myself. It saddens me that we live in a society where anyone could think this piece of garbage was good filmmaking or fit for public consumption. 90% on rotten tomatoes? I cannot fathom that. I guess I’m just out of touch, but I’ll spend the rest of my life wishing for that 109 minutes back.
