SPOILERS IN REVIEW
Honestly, since this takes place in the 1800’s , it’s kinda hard to understand, for a teen, and my mom had to explain what was happen a few times. But it was a pretty good movie besides that. 27-year-old Anne lives with her two sisters and father who are all selfish and annoying, but she is kind and smart and takes care of everyone. She’s sort of a Mary Sue but honestly it didn’t bother me that much. When Anne was 18ish she fell in love with a man named Fredrick Wentworth, but he was poor and her family persuaded her to break it off. (That’s why this is called Persuasian, I assume.) He goes to war and comes back a successful captain, so obviously now it’s okay to marry him. But they NEVER SPOKE he was ALWAYS WITH OTHER GIRLS and it drove me insane they would just LOOK at each other. This movie had so much romantic tension it’s not even funny. Luckily, he finally writes her a letter detailing how he’s always loved her. Sappy but good ending and Anne gets to be with the man she loves.
I found it to be one of the better Jane Austen movies. I would definitely recommend!
