This version completely missed the point of why the animated series was so great. Once I heard the original creators left Netflix I had a bad feeling in my stomach. I figured Netflix was going to screw it up. I get it shouldnt be the same but Book 1 had 9 hours and the information and story.line was provided gradually. There is no reason why this new version had to be rushed. I understand adding new scenes and decreasing some of the chidish humor was necessary but not to the point that it made the characters lack personalities. I loved the original because it was funny while at the same time covering mature topics such as war, struggle, anger, loss, forgiveness, acceptance and redemption. We identify with each characters because their story was believable and something you could relate too. The characters grew and matured becoming more understanding of each other as friends and as individuals. The friendship arch is missing. Everything that made them human like was removed leaving some bland people to see. I believe it not the fault of the actors. I think they did their best with the horrible script they were given. . I fee
