Some spoiler for the first bit I guess. Just went and saw this. As someone who has watched the first multiple times and considers it their favourite movie, I had very high expectations coming in to this movie. And it sure did not disappoint! Amazing! The contrast between the old movie and this movie was just perfect. It wasn’t over done, but it also didn’t just completely branch away from the original, nor did I just repeat the movie again. The introduction had me grinning from ear to ear, as to seeing the intro I’ve seen probably over 100 times be remade, but not to the point where it was just horrendous. It was perfect. But one of my favourite scenes/acts I must say was the one after the introduction. It was basically character development, and it showed the audience that MAV in fact has not changed in how ever many years it has been, it, again, was perfect. The only thing I will say (bc the person I was with was asking about it) is to *spoiler I guess* give a little more background information on Penny, because some people may not have really picked up on that from the start of the original. I had no problem with it because I knew straight away who she was as soon as MAV said penny, but other than that there was really nothing bad to say about it. Definitely a must see movie. Go see it with your family, friends, anyone. Go by yourself even! I’m already going to go see it again with a friend in two days and I cannot wait!
