My first and last book by this author and co-writer. Very disappointed. The bee histories were too long with no point. I have no problem with transgenders but also didn’t need the details of the surgeries. There were so many open ended story lines. One for instance was the finding of Asher’s fingerprints in Lily’s bedroom. Why weren’t Maya’s fingerprints found, especially all over the broken and knocked over furniture. The ending was cruel. After all that Asher had gone through, and may go through in the future by association to the murder trial, did Maya get off scot-free. I found that unfair and infuriating. Never again will I get duped into wasting my time and good money on one of Jodi Picoult or Jennifer Finney Boylan’s books.
