Truly awful, and yet funny in a weird way. Dreadful acting, plots with holes bigger than the iceberg all topped off with a massive anti climax. (Did they just take an old Planet of the Apes set and add snow??)

Horribly disappointing. Disney, Walt would be ashamed. The film is very loosely based on the books but why Eoin Colfer would want to be associated with this, I'm not sure. The acting was poor, yes even Dame Judy. The characters from the original have been torn apart and remoulded into different people, Butler, Diggums and Root to name a few. Questions raised, why did they choose to kill of Fowl's mother? Why the constant references to Holly's father? Why call the "Fowl Star" the Owl star? I could go on but I won't. It really isn't worth it. As a film for kids it's fine and many will enjoy it. As a tribute to the books it is a failure.
