This film has the power of displaying events that have a strong significance not only to the specific people affected by such events but to the broader communities to which they belong and to the world in general. It is vivid in the way it portrays the effects of political decisions in the lives of ordinary people. I find it particularly interesting how the brave men and women from the Israeli Government and their allies have accepted their roles and risked their lives for a cause that they considered noble and more important than their individual interests. This film covers many issues. I even believe that it went beyond its primary purpose (which may have been to portray details of particular historical events) and called our attention to a more actual and urgent debate: the role of decision makers and action takers in the lives of those affected by political, ethnical and religious conflicts. It is a universal film with a strong humane component; a true masterpiece worth watching.
