As a long-standing lover of the book series, I had high expectations. This film series did not disappoint—I was riveted and thrilled by it entirely. It’s enchanting and captivity in beautiful and magical ways. Any changes (slight additions etc) from the book felt worthwhile and enhancing. The casting is phenomenal, the music, the characters…I was completely in love with the 4 main children. And in fact with all the characters, even the “bad” ones you love to hate. It’s complex, it’s brilliantly made, I can’t wait to introduce all my friends and family to Mulligan, Number 2, and Rhonda. I laughed out loud so many times as I watched! It’s truly delightful. The acting is stellar. The children actors are so good I can’t even believe it. 10/10.
