Linda Bristol

One of the few historical records by someone who was actually present and involved with the Chippewa Indians in northern Wisconsin during the treaty years. Detrimental to the account is that Armstrong's memories which was transcribed and published many years after the events. Overall a good read, but it needs the accompaniment of footnotes to clarify the truthfulness of the narrative by comparing with historic facts.
