This might seem like a premature review because I only watched like the first 8-9 minutes. And I'm a "bigly" movie buff.
But I couldn't bear to sit through the dialogue NOISE at certain point. And no, it was not because of the 50s slang. Believe me, Dinner with Andre is one of my favourite movies but I never felt like the conversations in it were tiring. And I absolutely love Tarantino movies because they have such awesome dialogue.
But in this movie, the opening back and forth dialogue marathon in almost a monotonous tone was like a non-stop rain that at one point became just a maddening noise of hydrogen peroxide in my ears. I had stop it and listen to sounds of nature just to relax.
Since the reviews are good maybe one day when I learn to smoke and tolerate pot, I'll watch this movie without being overwhelmed by it's dialogue noise.
P.S: But I'm going to give it 3 stars because I don't want my personal opinion be a part in bringing negativity to a small budget movie.
