This series was one of the best I have ever seen. I love slavery films to see the struggle my people endured but also for encouragement to remain strong because I have not been through half of what my ancestors faced. I could not understand a thing but I read my butt of even rewinding to understand the arguments. Who ever wrote this script deserves a Oscar, Grammy, BET and whatever else. This was surely some of the best acting I’ve seen in years. That grandma was my favorite great actor!!! I am a descendant if slavery and we are the Gullah Geechie people of Beaufort SC who too have endured. Thank you thank you thank you for this magnificent show and great actors!!!
