I enjoy this show immensely, but as a physician I think the unwarranted use of antibiotics in virtually every patient is unnecessary and ill-advised due to the huge increase in antibiotic microorganisms. I am a physician and the tremendous rise in antibiotic resistant organisms in humans and animals is of great concern. Antibiotics should NOT be used when the animal is felt to probably have a viral infection (they are of no benefit for viruses) and just used willy-nilly in almost all animals whether or not they are medically indicated.
