Liko might be one of the worst protags I’ve seen in an anime and I’m not even an Ash fan. Her timid and passive nature is better for a side character and she doesn’t ever earn anything that is given to her. Roy puts in more work and Liko somehow reaps the rewards. She’s a spoon fed protag who is just boring, this would’ve been better as a regular slice of life anime than a Pokémon anime.
