Incredibly unfortunate. Having loved part 1 and read the book this falls flat in so many ways. There needs to be more information and more background stories. Nobody mentions how rare spice has become? Chani and Paul never have their son? Pauls little sister is never born. We never meet Jamis’ wife or are shown what the Baron does to young men sent to his quarters. What about Leto’s Menat working for Baron Harkonnen? Nothing of substance is here, it’s just another action / war movie. My eyes hurt after watching this and I felt a bit dizzy. I was so bored I was daydreaming during parts of the movie.
