Season 1 was great. Season 2 was boring. And Season 3 by Netflix was so difficult to watch I almost didn't make it through. The political beliefs of those at Netflix seemed to be more important than the story. Beloved characters from previous seasons were canned, while akward and unexplained characters were simply created to meet the political views of the production team. The centrist independent president of season 1 became a sock puppet for Netflix to use to preach the values they deem to be correct. This is not the Tom Kirkman of the earlier episodes. The entire plot of Season 3 can be sumarized by saying: Conservatives are all homophobic, racist, sexist pigs. The choice to make the story of season 3 revolve around an election gave those at Netflix a platform to push their beliefs onto others, which felt more like having a political agenda forced in my face than entertainment. I'm not associated with any political party depicted in the show. I'm simply a viewer who feels like the Netflix Designated Survivor is not entertainment but is blatant propaganda.
