I had the good fortune to hear the author speak many years ago. When I later read her book, I couldn’t put it down. She manages to articulate the hideous circumstances of her young life in a way that compels one to read on so as to learn how she ever managed to break free of what once done to her. She is an extraordinarily resilient individual who presents one of the clearest descriptions of what a “dissociative disorder” does to an individual. Do read this book…and do what YOU can in your community to help in anyway you can.
