Another failed attempt to adapt Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic. It isn't terrible but the David Lynch version holds up much better even though the studio knee capped the final version. This material really needs to be a series like GoT. if you are a Dune fan (like me) likely there will be disappointments like the Paul, Jessica characters and the slow pace and lack of internal dialog so plentiful in the novel. good SPx especially the ornithopters Worms fight scenes. Good visuals but only what you would expect from modern computer graphic tech. Unfortunately it's only the first part of the book before it gets exciting. I doubt there will a part 2 because all the heavy lifting plot wise comes in the parts not shown in part 1 Can they really redo all the logistic and get all the actors back to complete what was a mediocre start ?
