I put off watching this movie for a while. The plot seemed simple, explained in the synopsis. It was slow to begin. But it was so raw, it felt so real. Not Hollywood glamorized, but anything from amateur. There is no ah-ha moment, but more so a journey to be taken with Ani. One that isn’t rushed like many stories. One that is slow, appropriate for the seriousness. You feel her pain, her frustration, her furiousness, and her sense of relief. It didn’t feel fake. It’s hard to say that about 99% of movies I watch. I’d say this is the best movie I’ve seen in a while because of that. It made me feel all emotions, and had a satisfying, yet realistic ending. This is all just a random internet sleuth’s opinion, of course, so take it as you will.
