An insult to the original show & it’s fans. This should be called She-Man : The Last Jedi. Woke nonsense.

It’s never going to be Shakespeare but Mortal Kombat is an extremely fun film with some great action. The gore now matches the games and there is enough here to suggest that it definitely deserves a sequel. I had a lot of fun with it.

Zack Snyder gets the chance to release the film in the way he always wanted. Forget the cinematic offering, this four hour tour de force is the ultimate version which is actually superior to many a Marvel movie. It is quite simply essential viewing. Thanks

Entertaining but far too long. It has a sense of smugness about it’s obvious political viewpoint. Fun but far too self indulgent.

There are some funny moments & excellent action scenes but overall it feels messy with the flashbacks within flashbacks disorientating. Despite being referred to throughout the film, there is no Joker or Batman in the film & they are badly missed. Yes, this is a female led action movie in the #metoo era & yes Birds of Prey have had plenty of adventures in Gotham without Batman or Joker in the comics, but cinematically they are the elephants in the room, badly missed in an enjoyable but unforgettable cinematic outing.

Starts well with some interesting themes but it badly loses its way half way through. lindelof is so desperate to make political points that it’s to the detrimental to the show and causes it in the end to be a disappointing slog to get through. The series also takes some liberties with established Watchmen cannon that it will alienate comic book fans. In fact, you could have made this series without referencing it to the Watchmen world. Hugely disappointing.
