I just wanted to say that this film was a real blessing to myself, and the members of my church group who went to see it last week. They just don't make movies like this anymore, which is a real shame.
Back in the good old days, the movie going public enjoyed "The Ten Commandments,", "Ben Hur," and other Bible related films that were highly educational and uplifting. Now the appetite of the general public seems to be hungry for violent, perverse, counter-cultural trash, and I'm just not interested.
If you want to be encouraged in your faith, and see the life-changing, transformational, and redeeming work that God can do in the lives of even those on the fringes of society, I highly recommend this movie! We were all emotionally and spiritually shaken by the message of "Firing Squad."
On the other hand, if you don't care about those things, and would prefer to enjoy the usual cookie-cutter, mindless entertainment that will rot your brain, I would not recommend it.
