This movie was bad but it was okay. Honestly i could forgive this movie just for being able to see a modern visual adaptation of Garfield, i really like this stylized version of Garfield. But since im a nerd im going to criticize this movie as much as possible
First of all, i wish the movie was more about Garfield. now obviously Garfield is the star of the movie, and we get our fair share of lazy fat cat lasagna i hate Mondays jokes but the movie wasn't really about him. Instead of a movie revolving around him, we get some dad that supposedly left him when he was little, some French cat with a glowing necklace and two very cliche henchmen (this whole movie was generic and cliche but absolutely nothing beats these two in my opinion)
Then we had a cow and a bull who were weirdly in love and separated.
Like can we have a movie about GARFIELD please, like hes iconic just work off of that. Why do we need a whole movie about these new generic cliche characters nobody cares about.
Second of all, it was very generic and cliche. Like you could easily tell what was gonna happen in the movie. Like good thing my brain was frying from the overstimulation of the fast paced cgi animated movie so, i wasn't really thinking about anything just existing.
Third of all, i loved jon and odie but the other characters are mainly dull. Like i said they're just so cliche and dull i cant feel bad for anything the characters went through, like they felt so empty i couldn't really connect. And the fact that we got voice actors like chris patt and samuel jackson made it worse, i mean i love these guys but can we get voice actors that fit the characters not celebrities.
Fourth of all were so deep into capitalism i cant watch a movie i paid for without blatant advertisements, like i dont care about pop chips, olive garden or Walmart, my gosh.
thats it from me, movie is good for little kids but if u care for good movies dont watch this
