han so hee is normally a good actress, but in this, she was hard to watch. I dont know if it was the writing or her acting but her character is so...stuffy for lack of better words. she keeps cringing away from everything, staring off into space, doesn't say much, seems like she's in a fog 99% of the time, blank stares, no emotion, dry, empty. again, not sure if it was the writing or her acting or a bit of both, but watching her character was so frustrating I wanted to scream. she just seems so incredibly dead inside. fl has no will or wants. I wanted to say "Say something! Show some emotion! Do something! Anything!" but alas, she never really did. it was really bland the way she expressed any sort of emotion on the rare occasions that she did. Song Kang was fine. I heard people saying that he had no emotion and was bland in his acting, but I mean his character was supposed to be toxic, manipulative (I think), so naturally he's cold and doesn't express genuine emotions. I thought he did well portraying the mask his character was always wearing. the fake-ish smiles and him imitating genuine emotions instead of actually being genuine. a trait of manipulative people. he's supposed to be alluring and very surface level. I had no qualms with his character. other than that the ost was great. storyline was romanticizing toxic relationships and repetitive so not great but still mildly entertaining aside from the fl's character. the main leads and supporting characters are all good looking so that helps. it could have been so much better. a little disappointed.
