A captivating read, keeping the reader glued to the text and inspired by the challenges skinned throughout.
The book is more about the early days of Phil Knight in his endeavour to what turned out to be Nike and the journey he personally undertook in making his company succeed. A personal journey encouraged by his parents but much about disappointments and struggles along the way, the book outlines how Nike came about from practically nothing, how a love for running kept him and his team continuously innovating and the help he had from the least expected and unexpected ways.
Well written, with great flow and easy vocabulary the book is inspiring for those who are struggling with their dreams and facing disappointment, to keep striving and remain committed to working out solutions by not giving up. As an entrepreneur, the author remains humble to his success focusing little on the heights of Nike but more about challenges; providing a unique personal insight which is seldom reflected in similar books. If one is seeking business strategies and tactics that made Nike successful, one shall be disappointed.
Overall amongst the best reads I've personally come across and would recommend it for the writing, the inspiration and entertainment.
