The show started pretty good, but now into the third season it's become about trying to cater to a certain narrative. I have a daughter in college and she hates this show.

Why Is it that every television show lately the black man is in a gay role! As a straight black man I'm tired of seeing us only like that. Contrary to what the media is pushing black man and woman are together married and raising their children together. There is nothing wrong with being who you are and loving who you want. But I would like to watch a show were the man is not on the down low or cheating on his wife! Stop it.

I don't know how I feel about this show. As a black man I'm tired of seeing tv shows were the beautiful white family saves the black child. Also it's typical that the black family gets divorce and one of their children is gay. Can we get back to shows were they show us together thriving.
