The nice slow burn does begin to lag a bit before finally getting to the final act. But it’s well written. Great cast and sound track. Spoiler: Lots of reviews say “this unattractive woman jumped on a plane after stalking this rich guy she didn’t even know” but she had been to the island before. Something attracted her to him after the first meeting. Stockholm syndrome? He called her his best friend. Was meeting in different ways part of their game? Overall, this is very realistic. Young women attracted to fortune and fame have done more for less. This unfortunately makes them easy targets for financially successful predators. Overall it’s well done, doesn’t try too hard, and is a fun watch. As far as Tarantino goes, Hateful 8 was his last good movie and to some, that’s debatable but the Hollywood one was all fluff. My point is, every artist has highs and lows and Kravitz is for sure on a high. Looking forward to seeing what she does next.

A fatal disease leads to the collapse of society. The lack of zombies or any other serious threats allows those that have never really had to do anything in life thrive. Instead of figuring out how to get power, farm, and live out the government/capitalism free fantasy, every single character is focused on a play. The schools, homes, theaters, etc are fine. Why stay in the airport? Is a 10 year quarantine not long enough? Does the “flu” not exist anymore? No one gets sick. Too many questions. The main girl has one extremely tiring expression. The antagonists origin story is lame. None of the characters are likable. This show is overrated and overfunded.

How on Earth did this get such high ratings? The description should read: Narcissistic loser finally finds fame after fabricating a tale and calling it a true story. 2 episodes is all it takes to know this story only gets worse.

Another AI generated mess. Can't decide on a cinematic style? Use all of them! A cast like this should've been a guaranteed home run. What a wasted opportunity. It's poorly written. Stone's character is unlikeable and unbelievable. Defoe tried his best but eventually you get tired of waving the flies from a pile of shiit. Kudos to the big wigs for being able to pass off whatever this is as art.

This doesn’t have the same magic as Uncut Gems but you can tell they were going for that same kind of off putting entertainment. 3 episodes in and it’s starting to feel like one long drawn out SNL skit. Extra star for Emma.

In my first attempt at watching I stopped about 20 mins in. I did eventually finish the film but it felt way longer than it’s actual run time. Had potential and would maybe be better as a romance novel. The subtitles could be better.

Cheesy monster, outdated tropes, overdramatic, and drawn out. 2 stars because the kid is a great actress.

Apple + is really good at putting an expensive bow on a hot steaming pile of 💩…Lakeith is amazing given the poor writing and chaotic storyline as are the other actors. Cal is disappointing as a villain and they don’t seem to know which direction to go in with William so they are trying a bit of everything. But it’s beautifully shot. I think it’s safe to say the show doesn’t do the book justice. I’ll give it a few weeks before I continue watching so I can skip through it.

Best horror film I’ve seen in a while! I see midsommar and hereditary being mentioned but lets be honest, their endings sucked and alot of things were not realistic. TTM draws you in. From the moment you are told to “Put down your phone” the ride begins and when it comes full circle you’ll be ready for more. A24 does not miss!
