I would have survived the tower because I would have tapped out when my friend tried to wake me up at sunrise. The acting was stiff, the twist was cliché, and the ending was too abrupt. That being said, it made me sweaty and I couldn't look away.

Books like this are why I struggle to enjoy adult fiction. It's like the authors are afraid to write a series so instead they write a standalone that is basically just highlights from what could have been a riveting series. You never really get the chance to know any of the characters, so you're unaffected when bad things happen to them. It was an interesting synopsis, I hope to one day read the series.
