I didn’t think this game could get any worse after I played the heaping pile of garbage that is NHL 23 at my cousins house last year but I guess I was wrong. This game sucks don’t waste your money on it, first off the team you’re playing as’ goalie is absolute Swiss cheese this year and the opposing teams goalie is the reincarnation of 1996 Patrick Roy. For example I played a game this morning and lost 6-1 I had 36 shots and the team I was playing against had 21. The last NHL game I owned was NHL 20 and I could beat teams on superstar mode all the time, now in NHL 24 I’m having a hard time staying in the game on pro mode, I also hate the new player indicators this year, in games past they would be above the players head and would light up when you got the puck, but this year they are at their feet and barely light up when you get the puck and when you battle along the boards on your end they disappear completely, there were countless time I’d create a loose puck and think I had it but didn’t because I couldn’t tell from the indicator, I also hate how hard it is to knock someone off the puck, I’d be poke checking, stick lifting, and hitting like crazy but I still can’t get it, but all the ai has to do is slightly bump you and you lose the puck, the zone pressure thing this year is a good idea but it is executed horribly, your guys get gassed so easily and even when you change them on a face off the new guys still play gassed, I also hate the passing I’d have a guy wide open back door I’ll aim at him and instead of passing it to him it’ll pass it to the guy at center ice covered by two guys, this game has so many flaws its ridiculous, they pay so much attention to minor detail when they’re creating the game that they forget to make the gameplay any good, in nhl 14 I didnt care that all the players looked the same, all I cared about was that the gameplay was good, this will probably be the last NHL I buy for a couple years unless they make some major fixes to 25 because I’m tired of wasting money on this garbage
