I am a fan of all of Eric Lindell’s music but I think “Oakland” captures him at his finest. The spare arrangements leave ample room for Lindell’s voice to work its magic. The recording seems to capture ALL of Lindell’s voice and it is spectral, and intimate, and glorious in equal measures. The musicianship is excellent without exception and the production ethos is laid back and welcoming giving this album the feeling of a living room concert. This is Eric Lindell n all of his glory and it is an album for the ages.
