This is possibly the greatest movie and greatest movie experience I've had in my life. Have gone back to watch in IMAX again for the 3rd time and it just gets better. Villeneuve's purposeful adaptation of Zendaya's Chani to be more than just a faithful concubine to Timothée's Paul – not only offers her more agency – but allows the audience to see through her eyes the faults and worry of messianic figures. The last 10-15 minutes had me near tears to see the silent battle, the betrayal, and the foreshadowing of Paul's character in Dune Messiah. The acting was...wow... From Zendaya's heartbreaking eyes to Timothée's balancing act between roles to Rebecca's chaotic mothering to Javier's humor to Austin's insanity and pure evil in Feyd... wow wow wow. This cast is one for the books. Not to mention the cinematography + score + and every technical piece of this film will sweep the Oscars for sure. A movie that is worth the hype.
