As a Democrat, I expected to read a ton of spin by Shapiro, however he does a rather exceptional job of juxtaposing both mainstream liberal and conservative views, their Origins, and how they shape political discourse today. Also, very well researched, digestible and outright comedic at times. I learned far more about the conservative ideology than was expecting and even discovered the underpinnings of where my own leftists views arose (he calls us 'disintegrationists' 😆). He nailed the philosophies of my party to a T. I highly suggest this book for any lefty who wants to understand the conservative roots of this country. I only wish that every conservative wrote like this.
